Lisa Flowers leads communications at the largest publicly funded behavioral health and developmental disability agency in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has provided strategic communications leadership in the public and private sector delivering brand strategies and marketing communications execution. Previous leadership positions include managing national campaigns for the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) agencies, marketing the State of Maryland’s mortgage program, and serving as spokesperson and communications lead for the State of Delaware’s Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s high-profile traffic safety office. Lisa has taught social business strategies at the college level as well as for a national certification institute.
As an internationally recognized speaker, she has spoken in Malaysia, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia. She has also been profiled on USA Today, CNNMoney, CNBC Africa, BBC.com, MTV, Bankrate.com, NPR, and many more domestic and international news media outlets. Lisa holds three degrees (a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management, a Master of Science in Health Care Administration, and a Master of Science in Marketing Management) from Wilmington University.
